This is one of the better Japanese restaurant in the Convoy area. It is in an area dominated by Japanese and Korean cuisine but still shines.Their portions are big and enough to fill you up and keep you satisfied. My favorite is the thiriashi salad, hopefully I spelled that right but it has about 5 different kind of raw fish, smelt, lettuce and rice. This is a good salad to share because it is gigantic! The menu offer a lot of different dishes from sushi to noodles to bento boxes. If you love Japanese food this place is a must to go eat at. Food is good, service is good what else can you ask for.

This restaurant is our usual favorite haunt whenever we crave Japanese food. The portions are big and the price is reasonable. The staff is always friendly and the service is good. The two things me and my friends always order without fail whenever we go there is the huge chirashi salad and their green noodle soup.
They have a good selection of sushi rolls. They have vegan items on their menu and also offers and All You Can Eat menu, we have never tried that though.
Getting a table is also easy, and we never needed to make an reservations. The place also has tables that will accommodate large families, which is good for us. The only unfortunate thing is they don’t open on Sundays.

I went to this restaurant with my wife and had some of the best sushi we ever tasted. We went back two days later and a great meal again. The salmon was so amazing. Best of all the meal for two of us came to $35...I thought it would have been more like $75.

Nozomi is the place to go for sushi when you're in the Kearny Mesa area. The restaurant is small so there could be a wait around lunch time. There are so many varieties of rolls to choose from and the price is very reasonable. Favorites include the seafood udon and the big sashimi salad( sorry forgot the name). There's a little pool with turtles swimming around and cool cartoons to watch for the kiddies.

Nozomi makes the best sushi ever. Their recently opened restaurant, Nozomi 2 is just the same, except it is newer and a bit cleaner. The service is also very good. Not only were the staff friendly, but the food arrived in less than 20 mins. From my experience, if it takes more than 20 mins, kids will start to get impatient and make it hard to do things.
