The shoe department is my favorite part of this store. I very rarely go any deeper. The reason is because I like certain brands of designer shoes. Whenever I can't pull the trigger, they will tell me when they're going on sale. There are two people in the department that are particularly generous about this intel. And it pays off for them, at least where I am concerned. This shoe department rivals Neiman Marcus across the way, and that is a hard thing to do in San Diego.

Otherwise, the upstairs departments are hard to navigate. I do buy stuff every once in a while, but skip it for other places in the mall. The men's shoe department is ok during the annual sales. I never buy makeup there or other accessories. I guess what I'm saying is go for the shoe department and the kids shoe department upstairs. They have balloons, a tv and it's next to the cafe, which is helpful.

This is by far the best department store in San Diego. The service is impeccable, the prices are reasonable in light of the great quality of the clothes, and the selection is stylish. Whether one is looking for a business suit, a cocktail dress, or workout clothes, Nordstrom has the latest and the best. They will hem and adjust your slacks if you so desire, and deliver it to your home within a week or so. After a long day of shopping, the tired and weary can rest at their posh little cafe, which I hear has delicious tomato soup and really good salads.

i love nordstrom - it is by far my favorite department store. so it makes me sad to not be able to give this store a good review. unfortunately, i have not had excellent experiences here so far.

a few weeks ago, i did a bit of shopping after a yoga class, so i was still in my clothes from the class, possibly looking a little less than classy. and the employees here made sure to let me know that they noticed this. i was literally ignored all over the women's section and watched like a hawk at the same time. in the brass plum section, which is my very favorite area to shop, and where i usually get excellent customer service in other nordstrom locations, i had to stand next to the register and wait for THREE girls to finish up their conversation before i could get someone to take my money - frustrating, to say the least.

<b> Overall:</b> i am a man who loves nordstrom. i appreciate having good service, wide open isles and well decorated stores, and a one stop place for all the clothing items i want. <br /><br /><b>Value:</b> nordstom is, of course, expensive. you can find good value when you shop their sales or clearance items, and occasionally a good price will hit out of the blue<br /><br /><b>Service:</b> top notch service. everyone is professional and always willing to help you even with the obscure. like helping fix a necklace not even purchased there<br /><br /><b>Quality:</b> great quality, most things well made<br />
