Capistrano Nissan Taken Over by Wesloh Nissan...Same BAD Service
We bought a "Certified / Pre-Owned" 2005 Nissan Altima from Capistrano in July of 2008. When we bought the car the salesman made a big deal about giving us new floor mats...we discovered later that it was because there was a huge tear in the carpet on the drivers side. Within one month of purchasing the car we had to have it towed back to the dealer because the battery died...the cells were all bone dry. Capistrano Nissan tried to charge us for the new battery until I made a huge scene in their show room. Now that they are out of business the dealership has been taken over by Wesloh Nissan...what a bunch of jerks! They now tell me that my "Certified/Pre-Owned" Nissan needs in excess of $600 worth of repairs and too bad that I got screwed by Capistrano Nissan...their direct quote "that's why they are out of business." If their customer service rep is an indication of the way that they treat their customers, they will be out of business too!

Poor customer service and cannot be trusted
This dealer cannot be trusted. Sold us a truck that the vin nimber did not match electronics. We could not make keys without getting the whole truck re-wired. This would cost $700. GM gave no explanation or apology and just said "return it, I have someone else I'll sell it to." They wasted our time and gas going back and forth from San Diego. Then they never returned our calls when we asked to be refunded for the $165 we spent cutting a key at Toyota that would not work. Today we got a letter from them thanking us for buying a truck from them! Do not go to this dealer. They will waste your time and they cannot be trusted. Besides, the office has no air and was filthy!

Follow your instincts
Capistrano Nissan prospects their repair shop customer lists for new car sales. And they won't stop calling. They were so annoying that I stopped going to them all together - even for simple repairs. The service people "recommend" service that isn't in the service manual. It's clear that they're about pushing the service bill up. Folow your instincts when working with them and don't accept their recommendation on face value.
