I've been going to Nikkei Pediatrics pretty much ever since I was born. Although I went to the Nakashima's, as I got older I gradually switched to Inouye simply because I was more comfortable with a woman as a young teen. She was an excellent doctor who was easy to talk to and very friendly. I would recommend going to Nikkei Pediatrics for your children.

My daughter was born in 2005 and Dr. Nakashima came highly recommended from our OB/GYN. We drove in from the Valley to see him and it was absolutely worth it. We've since moved away from LA and have been looking for over a year for a ped that even comes close to Dr. Nakashima or Dr. Inouye.
I remember once that my daughter had an appt scheduled but I wasn't sure of the time. I called the office around 8am, and Dr. Nakashima answered the phone. I asked him if I had mis-dialed and he said no, that there was a problem with the afterhours answering service so he'd had all the calls forwarded to his cell phone! You can expect that Dr. Nakashima and Dr. Inouye will take all the time that you need to answer all of your questions. The office staff was also incredibly thoughtful and you can tell that everyone there enjoys their jobs.
Also, the office does a modified vaccination schedule - they do it them on time but they have you come once a month for the first several months so that your child doesn't receive more than one shot per visit. They do everything they can to make sure that you and your child are well-cared for.
We miss them SO much.

The entire group is spectacular. We drive our kids from Redondo to Little Tokyo because Dr. George and the rest of the office are worth the commute. Dr. Nakashima came highly recommended from our OB's and experience with both Dr. Nakashima and Dr. Inouye is far beyond our expectations. Before having kids I dredded taking them to appointments. No matter the issue, seeing Dr. Nakashima or Dr. Inouye is always educational and pleasant. You will not find better care for your kids or your worries. If pressed for a negative I would caution to check what insurance coverage they take before scheduling a visit.
