i love this store. i don't go here that often...but for some reason they remember me, AND the exact type of camera i use. i one of the few people out there that still use film, and nelson is the only store in san diego that process my particular type of film. on the occasion i use 35mm, i prefer to go to them over department store's with 1-hour photo services....the prints are NOTICABLY higher quality than that of stores such as walmart. if you are into film, definitely come here.

I have been going to Nelson's for years now, and have bought most of my equipment here. Their prices are competitive, they have product and kits that you can't find at some of the "chain" stores, and they have a staff that is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Aside from the product they sell, Nelson's also has pristine photo developing that is noticeably better than what you will get at chain stores. They also offer classes on photography--beginning to advanced. They have a location in La Jolla, but their original Little Italy store is the one you want to go to--it's a better stocked store.

This is a great photo store to buy your equipment because the staff can offer you some great technical advice. They have a good selection of cameras, lens, and other photography specialty equipment. They also have classes they offer through the store which are really great and affordable. I highly recommend this store for your photography needs.

I absolutely love and adore this shop. The people that work there are so helpful and friendly. They take the time to show you several options for everything that you need. They always remember to ask if you need anything else, and the best part - they offer a 10% student discount. Gotta love this place!
