The group exercise classes are great and they've recently added a prenatal fitness class that is FREE to members of Natomas Racquet Club. Can't beat that.

NRC has the facilities most people need. However, people (include me) complain about: 1. Club close way too early in weekend evenings (Fri,Sat at 10, Sun at 9) as people finally have time to enjoy it. Swimming pool closes even earlier for maintenance. Usually no management on site at this time so the cleaning staff pretty much call the shots. 2. NRC frequently takes precious weekend time for some activities not directly related to the members. Paid members usually have to sacrifice the quality of services, e.g. crowd gym rooms, dirty and smelly shower rooms, insufficient towels and parking spaces, etc. 3. Management solicits inputs but when you do, there were no reactions nor any responses A disappointed user‎

Lots of courts! Lots of cardio equipment. They recently got some new machines and TVs.

Unlike Golds or 24 Hr Fitness, the club is very friendly the staff at the desk know you by name. Members are there to work out and not there to see and be seen. I like the friendly family oriented vibe.

I currently have a membership here. It is $130/month for my boyfriend and I. WAY over priced as this gym closes too early at night:11 on weekdays, 9 on weekends. We never get to work out, and when we do get to work out we're rushed. They call themselves a spare time club but really you're not able to spend your spare time there unless you have nothing to do extremely early in the mornings! There are kids running around. If you have kids or like kids you'd like this place, it's not single friendly and a lot of the members are extremely stuck up. The staff is nice. There are a lot of machines and usually no wait as it's not that crowded. The staff doesn't keep the air set low enough so at night it is hot and stuffy!! The sauna is nice, but the steam room stinks like it doesn't get cleaned correctly. The pools seem nice enough, but nothing to write home about. Tennis courts are plentiful if you don't get insulted by the snobby people, it's ok. All in all, there are some nice things about this club, but they are far outweighed by the negative things!

We're looking for a new, more hip, young, and friendly gym to spend our time in.

My favorite thing about Natomas is the Kids' Club because it gives my children a fun and safe place to play while I exercise. Two thumbs up for the massage therapy as well! Those are my favorite things, but they pretty much provide everything you could possibly need to stay fit and clean.
