Beautiful and Crepy by Silvana T. at InsiderPages
Not for the suffering of heart, this plantation is beautiful and very old, and there are a lot of stories about ghosts and gobblins alike.
The decor is beautiful but you cannot help while walking inside to take a look at all time behind you....some areas are dark...and creepy

Do you believe in ghosts? by Sherri M. at InsiderPages
Called the most haunted place in America by some, this plantation boasts some of the most amazing stories of spirits roaming their halls. I've had friends who spent the night here and swear that they have had encounters of their own with the spirit world. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, this is a great place to visit and hear the history of this plantation-especially during the halloween season when they conduct ghost tours. Overnight stays are available for the brave!

Myrtles
The Myrtles Plantation has extremely nice people and the house is in excellent condition. The plantation is out in the middle of nowhere, though. Took us 45 minutes from Baton Rouge.
The day we went the historical tour was being conducted in German for a tour group, so we did not learn the history of the house, but we wandered out back towards a swan pond and the closer I got to it, I started to become very strongly dizzy and nauseated, so we left. Later I learned that area was historically significant (deaths, ect..) My husband thought that was cool at the time-but he wasn't willing to slend the night there! LOL

Rip Off
My wife and I stay in Bed and Breakfasts across the nation. We stayed in the Myrtles this past June. I've never, ever paid so much for so little! The room and furnishings were hideous. And after paying nearly $200 for a nights stay, we had to pay for a tour of the place (really!) and was treated to a continental breakfast. The only thing scary about this place was how many strange people (like us) were being ripped off to stay there!

great night
my wife & i spent an evening, actually it was the night that i asked michele to marry me. the place is really nothing fancy, but we were looking for ghosts not fanciness. we had dinner right there. they have a very nice restaurant at the plantation. food and service are excellent. if you are staying it is a typical b&b, nobody around at night. there are four rooms in the house, 2 have baths in the room. the other two have their baths down the hall. got pics of orbs and other unexplainables. great place to stay. a little pricey to stay in the house, but worth it. not much else to do in the area. happy haunting, i'm sorry i mean hunting.
