I won't use them again but feel free to take your chances

John and Nicole--the people you talk with on the phone are great. I believe they want to deliver good service at a fair price. The gave me a quote and got me moved on very short (1 day) notice. Because of that I don't feel I can complain too loudly about the rest of the move.
During the load up at my storage area one of the guys dropped two items (a chair and a large steel jug) off the ramp going up to the truck. I don't remember whether that was before or after he knocked the automatic sliding doors on the building off the track but I think it was just after. I didn't know the best way to get to the new apartment from there but the driver assured me he knew. I told him I would follow him until we got to the freeway and then I'd get in front of him to lead him to the apartment. The route he described avoided a toll road. When I told him the toll road would be faster he said it wasn't and would cost him $7 to get through.
He started off the drive by coming as close as possible to running a red light on a protected left turn. By "almost running a red light" I mean that my understanding of Texas traffic law is that if you have any part of your vehicle in the intersection when the light is yellow, then you are ok to proceed through, even if the light turns red while you are in the intersection. They were in a pickup pulling a long trailer and had the front of the truck in the intersection when it was yellow. It turned red while they were in the intersection. I couldn't follow without running a redlight so I didn't. I'd swear the guy was trying to lose me because he didn't even slow down a little.
Despite his driving I eventually caught up with him and realized that the route he was taking was about 20 minutes out of the way. At $75 an hour, the toll road was obviously the way to go.
We eventually got there and they did a great job on the unload, which included some difficult stairs so I did tip them but I won't use them again.
Pros: Reasonable prices and scheduled me on very short notice
Cons: If possible, avoid paying hourly; don't expect gentle handling of your belongings
