Very fresh. Very friendly. Very authentic. Besides the wonderful nigiri and sashimi, try the Katsu-don or Koroke or the donkotsu ramen! So so soooo good! Musashi is one of the most authentic Japanese places you'll find in Charlotte.

I think what most people don't understand about Musashi is how it sticks to traditional Japanese cuisine. About every other time I come to eat here, I hear some people asking if they have Dragon Rolls or Volcano Rolls. Hahah whatttttt? Makes me laugh everytime. Those you will not find here. That you can only find at Americanized places like Ru San's/Sushi101/Nikkos. Rolls are Japanese-influenced, not traditional.

Great food, it is a small restaurant but very homey. The food does take a little longer to come out, but that's because everything is fresh, I'd rather have fresh food than fast food any day. Moderately priced, the quality of food is phenominal, I highly recommend it!!! Sushi was amazing, little variaty but very good quality fish.

I have been to Musashi twice. I thought service was slow the first time (dinner) but nothing compared to a lunch take out I ordered recently. Musashi definitely needs to hire more help so that people can be seated promptly. There were so many people waiting to be seated for lunch. My take out order took longer than 40 minutes!!! Simply ridiculous!

No knife-tossing chefs and flaming entrees, just REAL Japanese food. Wonderful appetizers, terrific sushi and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside is that one smoker can fill up the room with the smell, but you can't have everything.

I have traveled all over the country, and eaten at many Japanese restaurants, but I must say that none has beaten Musashi's yet. They have the best sushi! The menu has a collection of traditional Japanese dishes (I am Japanese), that they are also very good. You will never see so many Japanese people eating at a Charlotte restaurant than at Musashi's for a good reason. If you are not into sushi, try teriyaki or tempura. The lunch special are good also. But don't expect to see knife throwing chefs, because as I said, this is an authentic Japanese restaurant!

As I have learned from eating at many Japanese restaurants, the price does not indicate a quality of food. If the price is high, you are probably paying for the fancy furnishings and location. Musashi brings their customers back by serving good food!
