Used to Like, But Not Anymore by E D. at InsiderPages
I was happy to take my first puppy to Mueller 4 1/2 years ago. Then again, my puppy was healthy so there wasn't much need for in-depth services. I admit the 24/7 availability is a plus for this hospital. And I do like Dr. Rabinowitz as she is WONDERFUL with animals - but this is where my praises end. I've met with a few vets who were either too pompous to really listen to me and see my point of view re: vaccinations or had no idea about behavior where dogs are concerned and therefore kept eaching OVER my dogs head to try and calm her down. (Dog Behavior 101 dictates you never reach over a dogs head.) To add, they will do the basic cursory visual inspection when diagnosing dogs and seem hesitant to look further into the problem, unless I specifically direct them too. And yes, it is a revolving door of vets so it's hard to have a one on one relationship with them to the extent that I would recommend their services. If your pet isn't in need of emergency services in the middle of the night, I would definitely start looking elsewhere for a different vet.

Horrible Staff by Janet S. at InsiderPages
I use to bring my dog here but I wouldn't bring my new dog anywhere near this facility. The staff is not sincerely nor helpful. The vets were a revolving door and I never saw the same vet twice. My dog contracted cancer and they never seem much interested in treating it.... I've since moved to a new place where everyone loves my dog and knows me AND my dog.

Refund Granted by Sarah B. at InsiderPages
As a follow up to my 8/6/08 posting, I sent a certified/return receipt letter to the owner of the hospital requesting a refund of the difference between the quoted price of my visit and the price assessed. I have received a short note from the owner apologizing for the 'confusion' with the refund.

Still waiting.... by Deb S. at InsiderPages
I took my Border Collie mix to this facility on Tuesday afternoon. She has been listless, off her food and can only walk about 20 feet without laying down. The vet came in, pressed around on her belly which is swollen, and then said he would work up an estimate. He was with my dog about five or six minutes. The estimate was around $560 for bloodwork and xrays. I told the tech who brought me the estimate that I would need to talk to my husband. I then asked if we could just do the bloodwork. She said she would talk to the vet. In less than a minute she came back and said I needed to do all of it. I was at the desk trying to pay for the office visit when she came back and said the doctor wanted to do the bloodwork immediately. It is now Wednesday night. I have called to get the results and was told the tests had not been returned. I was also told that the vet would call when he received them. I've been to vets many times and have never had to wait this long. I'm searching for another vet and will request that the tests be faxed to them...if they ever come in! Apparently this vet hospital is more interested in gettting a credit card than caring for my dog.

Boarding...
I think their boarding facility is great! I always board my two dogs and one cat there with NO trouble. They actually love going to Mueller because of all the attention they get. But my dogs do not get stressed out at the kennels, and I do not need to medicate them while they are there.

You may have trouble boarding your two dogs if they stress themselves out and rub their faces constantly against the kennels causing their noses to bleed...and then when Mueller tries to call you to pick up your dogs as soon as possible because they are stressed and you don't answer or return the messages - you might have a problem. Maybe you shouldn't board your dogs anymore, and you should check out some home care services. I'm just sayin'.
