This hopital is terrible!
I also saw, not a little mouse, but a big rat running across the hall in the main waiting area. I noticed it smelled really bad between the seats so I moved. After I moved, I saw a big rat running from where the stench was coming. Besides poor sanitary conditions, most of the people who work there do not provide good service and are often rude. My relative, a patient in the SICU, said that as soon as visitors leave, the nurses completely ignore her although she is just out of surgery and in a lot of pain. I am really disappointed in their service, this place just sucks.

World class medical specialists.
Mount Sinai Hospital is a level I trauma center and a teaching hospital and therefore has a huge complement of medical specialists. It is certified as a chest pain center, a stroke center, etc. It largely serves the working class and poor and is a true charitable institution.

My son has been a patient here, in SICU. I can't believe how
My son has been a patient here, in SICU. I can't believe how dirty this hospital is. How can anyone expect to get better if bacteria is growing everywhere. I just met some of their pets, mice running all over the lobby like we weren't even there. I have yet to see anyone clean the rooms or use disinfectant in the bathrooms. When they do, they wipe it down with a dry paper towels. Obviously my complaints haven't even embarrassed them because they have done nothing or even had anyone in a managment position speak to me. Let's not even talk about their professionalism. They treat people as though they are nothing, except for one young lady who schedules transportation for her senior patients.I am a professional with private insurance. I can only imagine not speaking English or without insurance being left at Mount Sinai's doorstep. Unfortunately my son's injury is critical and can't be transferred. Real sad hospital. The city should look into this one!!
