I come here for a fast Mex food fix since it's literally down the street. Used to be my hot spot to hang when I attended classes in the area. Solid Mex food.

Can't go wrong with any of the carne asada food items and they are pretty reasonable in price. There are coupons in the local magazines for $2 off $10 purchase.

I have friends that live in San Elijo Hills, and this is one of their favorite neighborhood taco shops so I've frequented it many times. However, I have decided to stop going because every time we eat here my son and I get excessively thirsty. I suspect that they're adding some form of MSG into their food, as all of us experience this after our meal.

With that said, there is no denying that the food here is definitely tasty. It also seems very authentic. In the past, what I really liked were their chips and salsa--very spicy and delicious. In addition to their standard salsa, they also have a great salsa bar with many different types of salsas. They have good carne asada burritos, flautas, street tacos, and enchiladas. My favorite thing to order was the Tostada Supreme bowl with carne asada. However, like I said all of this food causes excessive thirst so I don't plan on going back again.

Otherwise, the service is really good. The place is clean and has a nice area for outdoor seating. It's also a pretty good value.

My wife and I drive from Oceanside, at least once a week to have lunch or dinner at Mr. Taco. It's worth the drive from anywhere in the county. I hope they open a place in Oceanside, soon.

Mr. Taco is our staple Mexican food place. We are there once a week, and we continue to go back. Mr. Taco exceeds expectations in choices and flavor, and they have a small dining area that is much nicer than most taco shops. The prices are right, and they have some higher level mexican food than the average taco shops. I would highly recommend Mr. Taco.

My entire family loves this place and we are picky! It's always clean, fast service, EXCELLENT salsa and chips. You have to at least try it once! You'll be hooked
