My wife called Mister Quik for installation of a kitchen lighting fixture and for change out of some electrical switches. The technician arrived promptly, was courteous and seemed professional but he indicated that he needed to start our project at the main breaker panel. After checking what he said was temperatures of the components where electrical passes thru the panel, he stated the panel had excessive heat measurements and he strongly recommended we replace the main breaker panel. We took his word for it out of fear that failure to do so might create a fire hazard. He installed a new main breaker panel and a surge protector within the breaker box at a cost of $1,832.00 and we didn't know any better. Next day, I did some inquiring at various other reputable electric companies and found that the work that Mister Quik did, parts and labor, was a maximum $900 project, most likely less than $800. So basically this company preyed on us as senior citizens, used fear of fire tactics as a selling point and then completed a job at more than double the cost from other more well known and reputable electrical contractors. Anyone reading this review or anticipating using the Mister Quik Electrical Service Co. BEWARE. Get their prognosis if they are already in your home, BUT don't make the mistake we did, get at least one other opinion and definitely another estimate. This company's pricing is exorbinant and their tactics are at best suspect.
