Mound Guest Home may not be the newest, prettiest 'showplace', however if you are looking for the best possible care for your loved one, there is no better facility in Ventura County. My mother (an Alzheimers patient) has been living there for three years now. She was angry and very fearful when we placed her,which is to be expected under the circumstances. When we visited her for the first time she said, "Well I don't know why I have to be here, but THANK YOU, this is a wonderful place and you'd have to tie me up and drag me to get me to leave." She has continued to thrive, never has a complaint and is happier than she has been in years. Most significantly, many of the symptoms she displayed prior to placement at Mound have disappeared. She is not only happier, her condition has improved.
