Worst dealership in tampa
This was really the worst dealership I had ever been to. Their parts and service departments are a joke. Put my older bike in for basic service (tires, chain, oil/fluid change) and they told me it would be ready the next day when the parts arrived. 5 days later after repeated calling they finally said my bike was ready and I could pick it up. It was close to their closing time and they said they would have it out front ready. After rushing over noone knew anything about it and I had to go in the back to find it. I found my bike still disassembled with the seat, battery and side fairings still off. After I put it back together myself I found the battery to be dead and had to jump the bike off. After finally getting out of there I pulled away to find that my bike would no longer stay running unless the choke was partially out. I also noticed it slipping in third gear. I called the next day just to have them tell me it mustve had that problem before hand and they couldn't help me. I NEVER went back to them again and after having similar experiences many of my riding buddies stopped going as well. I recommend anyone looking to buy or have their bike serviced avoid motorsports of tampa like the plague. Horrible customer service not to mention they outright damaged my bike. Make the drive to either barneys or out to pasco where you'll actually be treated decently and so will your equipment.

Deceptive advertising
I will never darken the door of this establishment again. They advertised a child's ATV for $999 (MSRP of $1849). When we got there the price was $875 - what a great deal, right? After they took all my credit card info and we waited half an hour for paperwork to be completed, the final price was $1,792! Freight of $548 and dealer prep of $199. And the fine print in the ad said nothing about fees. We have purchased several bikes at Barney's of St. Pete and have never had that problem there. Barney's charges a nominal dealer prep - maybe $100.

AVIOD THIS DEALER
I bought two Seadoo RXT's on 07/07/07 for $22,400.00 form MOTORSPORTS OF TAMPA they included a two year warranty one year regular warranty and Seadoo promotion for an extra year warranty; so I bought two waverunners with a two year warranty on each.
14 months later one waverunner's supercharger went out (common for Seadoo) when I brought it to MOTORSPORTS OF TAMPA they said I was out of warranty. The service namager informed me that MOTORSPORTS OF TAMPA obtained a rebate from Seadoo to void my extra year of promotional warranty BUT never told me!! I would not have bought them with only one year warranty!! The intention the whole time was to extened the warranty before it expired.
MOTORSPORTS OF TAMPA manager Russ Stearn has refused to make good on the deal, and offered to pay for half the repair but nothing to do with the warranty.

******* UPDATE*************** UPDATE********

Seadoo and the NEW OWNERSHIP of Motorsporsts of Tampa have made good for the warranty and the repairs. Once again I am a happy Seadoo owner !!

Absolutely the worst dealership of any kind for anything.
They are the typical dealership that comics make jokes about, customers complain about - absolutely typical dealership patheticism. First - they're very anxious to sell, promise you everything and deliver on nothing. My experience (and like Jesus' miracles in the bible, this is just a sample). First, promised a bike brand new, they delivered a used one. Second, they promised us a financing rate after credit was checked thoroughly - didn't get it. Third, eventual bike, new, delivered damaged and wouldn't replace damaged parts. Their logic "it'll get damaged anyway when you ride it". I could go on and on and on (this represents about .25% of the problems). Do not think that this is an isolated incident or I am someone who somehow created this or exaggerating. Pay the extra money and use Barney's in St. Petersburg, or really, almost anyone else - Pasco County treats you well too - you will not have a positive experience at TampaBay Motorsports - just google them in the forums and you'll see - nor, will you have a promise or agreement fulfilled, or treated well, or get what you want or pay for. They will go out of business eventually and it will be a good thing. The owner, not the GM (which they've gone through several) is basically the George Steinbrenner of this dealership - the biggest A-SH---- in the world and he has too many dealerships pulling profits to give a damn about a $4500 purchase. Go see Jeff at Barney's or Pasco Cycles. Trust me, everyone has this experience there. I didn't listen to the reviews, just figured I was different - I wasn't and learned my lesson. You've been warned.

Terribly rude people
The general manager, David, was very rude to me today 4/22. The former general manager two months ago had booked my timeshare condo using Motorspots of tampa information and I had paid a $25 dollar reservation fee for him which he never paid me and he cancelled right before the checkin date, but agreed to pay reimburse me the $25 fee. He made the reservation through motorsports of Tampa. When I called just to inquire after the $25 fee in a polite manner, the current general manager was very rude, told me how stupid I was and that it was not his problem and then hung up on me. Unbelievably rude people there.
