Shady
Bought a used truck from these guys. Usually I do all my own maintenance but after having back surgery, I decided that I should have someone else rotate the tires. But being a former mechanic, I was a little skeptical about having someone else do it. All the tires were brand new on the thing (one of the reasons I bought it) and I was thinking "How will I know that they actually rotated the tires when they all look the same? They'll probably just charge me and tell me that they did it." If I hadn't JUST had the surgery, I would have crept under the truck and put some nondescript mark on each tire so that I could make sure that they were actually rotated. Boy do I wish I had. When I picked up the truck I was in a hurry to get to work and they were lagging on getting it out of the back so I just grabbed the keys and jumped in and got rolling. As soon as I hit the highway, i noticed the truck pulling to the right pretty bad. So when I get to work I go and check the front tires to see if one was low. It was low alright, but not on air, on TREAD! So was the other front right tire. When I compared the front to the rear, 1/2 of the tread was missing on the front tires and they were distictly older than the rear tires. I called up to complain and they told me that I had to bring it in for them to look at. So at lunch I brought it down there and they tried telling me that they were the same tires that I had on it when I brought it in and that I probably wore off all the tread on the way to work that day or didn't notice that the back tires had less tread, etc. any excuse that they could come up with. I explained to them that I washed the thing every week and KNOW what I had on there. They kept denying but I kept accusing them of switching the tires out on me. So I went in to talk to the owner and got no response either. Not even an apology. Then to boot, he called the cops because I was in the showroom calling him a crook. I guess he's been thru this before. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS. THEY ARE CROOKS!

This is my experience with Mossy Ford in San Diego I have been buying cars for twenty years and never had such a horrible experience with a dealership. I have bought a lot of cars in twenty years and I never have had such a bad experience with any. I do not know why this dealership is rude since this is a trouble times for them and treating me like shit was not the way to go. This is some highlights from my dealership from hell:
1. On my new vehicle, damage was done to the passengers rim when the salesman made a u turn into the Ford dealership from the Toyota dealership. The salesman acknowledged the damage and we heard it when he scraped the curb. When my son arrived at the dealership later on the salesman denied the damage.
2. I explained to the salesman about my trade in that had a lien on it and he did not give the information to the manager which made problems for calculating a monthly payment.
3. The salesman got upset when he found the price was lower on the Internet than on the price on the vehicle, and that is when he started treating me like shit.
4. The salesman was unorganized, forgetful, a liar, and an ass hole.
5. The salesman denied the damage on the rim when we returned to point it out to the manager.
6. We only got $3,000.00 for our trade in on our 2003 which we should have gotten at least $5,000.00.
7. A friend of ours came to the dealership inquired about my trade in, they said it it would sell for around $7,000.00 to $8,000.00. That would be making a profit off of my trade in at $4,000.00 to $5,000.00. Now that is robbery since my trade in was custom built.
8. The finance person that I had to deal with had been totally rude and uncooperative with me in my questions about certain issues. I found it very difficult to understand him, he had spoken with broken English and his writing was poor.
Basically I got the shaft a Mossy Ford and I warn anyone who steps foot in the dealership.
Pros: none
Cons: lousy dealership
