This used to be a great school until several drastic back-to-back changes. Count on frequent changes in classes and teachers with no warning to parents. There used to be a very low student:teacher ratio but recently they've decided to raise them. Ms. Janine, who started the school, is no longer there. I've personally heard of two families that were told not to come back if they had issues with the way the school was run. The teachers do try very hard but there is a lot of competition out there in this area and many other schools can offer your children much much more in terms of quality and care.

I had children at this school for 3 years, and had hoped to continue there. Unfortunately the owners of the school have made many changes, including letting some of the most beloved teachers go for business reasons, enlarging class sizes, and eliminating a full-time director position so that one of the teachers splits her time between this role and teaching. If you are considering this school, I would ask very detailed questions regarding teachers and class size. For the price, it is no longer worth it, in my view.

This is an excellent school, associated with one of the top preschools in Manhattan Beach, but with no waiting list, as not as many people know about it. It is accessible from both San Pedro and Palos Verdes. Classes start at 18 months, with very experienced teachers and full Montessori certification. Outside expert teachers come in weekly to offer music, spanish and tennis lessons. The grounds are lovely with ocean views, and three playgrounds. Full daycare is available for those interested. I have three kids there (twins included) and they all love it and are learning tons.
