I must say, I dont agree with a previous reviewers who claim that the bar is small, as its not. The max capacity is like 130 and there's a huge covered patio (which you can smoke on) in the back, plus another small patio on the side. Wednesdays with Nicole and Sundays with Angelo are probably the best nights for regulars who enjoy the more chilled vibe. They have great drink and food specials every day of the week ($4 burgers on Thursdays are not to be missed). They've just remodeled and the hardwood floors are much nicer than the old mangy carpet that used to be there....we avoid this place on Tuesday (22cent Wings) and Fridays, as its super busy with the crazy college crowd and bands, but if thats what you're into, it's there

They now have Karaoke on Wednesdays and its fantastic! Great song book and a cool crowd!

This bar is a really good time on tuesdays. However, the bar is about the size of somebody's bedroom. This bar is upstairs so you will frequently wait in line for a long time because they are over firecode up there. The service is good but they are always understaffed and the bar is way to small for the amount of people that are there. It could take you a long time to get drinks and once you get up there you might as well order a bunch cause you wont be getting back to the bar for a while. It gets really crowded, especially on tuesdays. Crowded like a houseparty in high school and college... like you cant move easily at all. Patio is really nice in the summer, but again crowded. Havent tried the food so i can't comment on it. Music is average. Mostly classic rock. I'd say give this bar a try but dont expect anything special.

Monte Vista is a great hang out all around. The patio is great in the summer time! If you like sweet drinks the rum runners are a must!

go there on tuesday night and meet your friends. after 10 pm beer is only two dollar a big cup, goes well with the chicken winigs, two bucks will get you twenty of them. ask for the spicy sauce, it will make you feel like talking a lot.
the patio is nice with a big fireplace, in the winter it might be a little cold, but don't worry, there will be fire, that is why it is called fire station. all the college kids hang out there on tuesday, go have a look.

I don't understand most of these ratings, granted many places aren't perfect, Monte Vista isn't either. Monte Vista is a great place to relax, have drinks, and have a bite to eat. Almost everytime I'm there, it's a great time. Almost. Tuesdays draw in a crowd that resembles the line up from COPS, but other than that, great. I gave it 9's because there is always room for improvement.
