So first a disclaimer, I haven't been to Molly Molone's on a regular night. I went there for a metal concert, which was interesting, the tour had 2 local San Diego bands, plus one from Canada and another one from Norway.....and they played in Ramona!! Their tour manager slipped up on that one....but I digress.

My impression was that of a cool place to hang out, the prices for beers were very inexpensive, it's a dive bar with decorations that make it look like a sports bar with a Tiki lounge in the back.

I noticed a fish tank with gold fish and a sign that mentioned something about goldfish races...I can only imagine what that is. From the reviews I've read, looks like on a normal night this place is more for the younger crowd where everyone knows each other and outsiders are not as welcomed, I can't verify since I was there for a specific event.

But at least for the event we have great bar service, we heard awesome music and we had cheap beer. Not a bad experience!

But definitely more for the younger crowd, it is a nice size bar, but seems to be more of a rowdy place. Cheers seems to have more the relaxed crowd...

This is probably the biggest bar in Ramona, but the pool tables are kind of toward the back, and the appetizers aren't great. I'd go to Cheers instead.

i have only been here a few times and there are a few reasons. 1st, i dont live in ramona anymore but i visit a lot. 2nd, if you are not a regular you might not feel comfortable. there is a pool table and a little back patio that is very run down. its on of just about 3 bars in ramona and probably the most popular but my last choice.
