I find their prices are comparable to other vet clinics/hospitals. In fact, the last time he had his physical, all shots were free and I had to pay the office visit which was $35 - I thought that was great!

I have taken several of my pets, (dogs and cats). This hospital saved my dog's life. I know if it hadn't been for them she wouldn't be alive today. The specialist at the other hospitals could not figure out what the problem was.. I gave up with them and took my dog to Mohnacky in Carlsbad and after the the correct testing and care she is alive and strong today It's worth the money to take your loved one to someone who knows what the heck they are doing. Thanks to the doctors and staff at Mohancky Animal Hospital.

I wouldn't take a flee to the place. Some how they would find a way to charge a couple of thousand dollars. I am 58 yrs old and have had pets all my life, and have never been to a vet with so little compassion. I had a beautiful Maine coon cat that had a serious bladder problem, a life or death situation. I just moved out here, and didn't know any vets, so I called the Humane Society to get a recommendation, they gave me Mohnacky's number. The first thing they did was show us a cost of $ 315.00 for x-rays and blood work, that we had to sign a paper to promise to pay. What choice did we have, we were told he would die, and soon if not treated, so we signed the paper. After the test were done, which took about 15 minutes, they showed us another paper with costs of $ 1550.00. They would put in a catheter in and drain his bladder and keep flushing it for 3 days. We said we didn't have that kind of money because we both lost our jobs. That was no problem, they could get us credit with this company. Again what choice did we have, we loved our cat, so we signed the paper. We went home, a half hour later we get a phone call saying there was a problem and for another $ 500.00 they could operate on him. It was the first time,and the hardest thing we ever had to do, spend all this money we didn't have, or put him to sleep. He was in alot of pain, so we had him put down. They said ok, like it was nothing, not even trying to work on the price or anything. As we were walking out the door, they handed us a bill for $ 1560.00, and we no longer have our boy. Needless to say I am not done with this.If you Love your pets, don't go here. Its all about the money. They could care less about you or your pet.

We had an unusually large Newfoundland that had several knee surgeries. His recovery was very difficult because he was so big.There Ortho Doctor is exceptional. His knowledge impressive and I so appreciated the fact that he took the time with us to explain everything until we understood it and all the options of treatment. The staff was awesome coming out to the car to help me get him out with a splinted leg, and then again to help me get him back in the car. I felt he was in caring hands. I can never thanks Dr. G and his Gang enough. You all are angels.
