Modern Chevrolet Service and repair...‎
I have a 2004 Chevrolet Classic. I started taking my car to Modern Chevrolet since December 2008. I had a Sensor that went bad. They could never get it right. I had to go back in March, May, August and November. This last time they kept my car for a week and didnt repair it. That didnt give me a proper diagnosis. They said they could not help me any longer. Now i am stuck with a car that has not been repaired. During this time my extended warranty ran out this year. If you cant trust GM technicians at the dealership who do you trust. They were not very knowledgeable. They ran a less than speaker grade wire across my engine to bypass the sensor. They were totally unprofessional. They would never update me on my car. I dont recommend getting your car serviced there.‎

I recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Modern Chevrolet on University Parkway. I was not in the market for another car, but talked to one of the salespeople to see what kind of deal I could get. Because of the knowledge of the vehicle & no-pressure attitude of my salesperson and finance manager, I drove away in my newest vehicle. I must say that this has been the easiest transaction I have ever had. This was only the second time I have ever purchased a car, but I can tell you that it won't be the last from Modern Chevrolet.

Went to this dealership in Feb to purchase a car. I found on that i liked, test drove it, and returned at 3 p.m. in the afternoon. They had 3 of these vehicles at the time for the same price. At 9 a.m. the next morning i get a phone call saying they has sold all 3 of these cars after i left ( yeah right) but they had another one for me to come look at. I get there and the car is more expensive than the one i wanted. So i test drove the car over to Flow Chevrolet and found a car that i liked. After a few days of ignoring calls from Modern, all of a sudden they had the original car i wanted again! These people are liars, and try to get you to spend more than you can afford. BEWARE!

Dear friends,

This is to let you know the results of a complaint I have with Modern Chevrolet in Winston-Salem.

As some of you know, I bought a used Cavalier from them in Dec. 2002. I was considerably displeased with several aspects of the process of buying the car, but the car itself has been ok so far. Last night I had a flat. When I went out to change it this morning, I discovered that the car did not have a jack or lug-wrench in the trunk! This was the first time that I ever had reason to open the spare tire compartment. Fortunately, there WAS a spare tire.

I have spoken with several officials at Modern Chevrolet, but they refuse to do anything to replace or compensate me in anyway.

I was told that the used car checklist, at least NOW, has an item for making sure there is a spare and jack. They could not say for sure if the item was on the checklist when I bought the car. At any rate, I am sure that I have not opened the spare compartment (where the jack and wrench is supposed to be), before.

I would recommend that you consider these events when buying a used car; or when deciding from whom you will buy a car.
