Mitchell Hardware is the model Local Business. They know everyone as if the town's population was under 500 people. They have an enormous product selection, and are always willing to order the product that you desire. You would be an absolute fool to go to one of the chain stores (Home Depot, Loews, etc...)‎

This is a traditional, old time hardware store with fabulous stock , excellent service, and competitive pricing. They have almost everything you could conceive of! And if they don't have what you're looking for, they do go the extra mile to let you know where you can find it. The staff is usually pleasant and helpful, especially the young folks.

I absolutely hate shopping for hardware items, so it will never be a pleasant experience for me. That said, the staff here usually makes it at least a bearable experience.
