Since my niece is a recreational dancer, she has tried out several different venues to pick up her skills. She attended Mission Dance studio for a few years and had good things to say about it. They offer a good list of classes: ballet, cheerleading, jumps, lyrical, tap, jazz, hip hop, etc. For the most part, the instructors were very enthusiastic to work with the children. But, I did notice that one jazz instructor did not take her class seriously and would stare at herself in the mirror while halfheartedly shouting out orders to the kids.

PROS: recitals, competitions
CONS: each class only once a week
