Good Filipino food!!!
The last time I stepped foot in here was several years ago when it was barely a hole in the wall. Now it looked like this establishment has expanded to include turo-turo, a sit down area to eat and small market. My parents always come here to order their sisig for every Filipino party we throw.
Came here to pick up to-go for the office. I ordered a 2 item combo ($6.51) with 2 scoops of rice, pork sinigang and bistek. My co-workers order pancit and pork adobo. (I wasn't too crazy for the pancit and adobo.)
Portions were generous and I actually shared my combo with another coworker and still had leftovers. I like my sinigang SOUR- really SOUR. Although it didn't live up to "my" expectations, it was ok. Wish I had more pork pieces though. My coworkers said it was fine for them. To me, the bistek soup was too thick and have a heavy/creamy consistency. The beef was tender and the portion was def generous. Coworkers enjoyed the beef.
I'd come back and try other items should my coworkers decide for another Filipino lunch. I guess because I eat Filipino food all the time at my parents house, it's not thrilling to me.
My coworkers laugh when I said, "Why should I pay [for Filipino food], when I can get it for free?!" Well, it's true!!!
