AVOID THIS PLACE
This place, in my personal experience, is terrible. We have been taking our dog here for awhile and for regular check-ups and shots, this place is tolerable. Overpriced, but tolerable. However, if your pet has any problems, surgeries, teeth cleaning, minor or major injuries, etc. avoid this place. Our dog had a slow growing tumor on her leg which Doctor Fan (who is the only reason why I can see anyone would go to this clinic) did a removal of her tumor a few weeks ago. Surgery went well, but it is what came afterwards that made us change vets immediately. First they bandage her leg up so much that she could barely walk. Then they over-prescribed her antibiotic medicine by 3 times the normal dosage. Our new vet noticed this and said that this could cause severe kidney problems in our dog. Secondly, they wanted us to come in every 2 days for a bandage change. This was fine with me since I wanted the best for our dog, but when doctor Fan wasn't there, Doctor Taylor did the bandaging and he over-wrapped her leg and foot so much that she did not want to use her foot at all and the bandage rubbed on her wound so much that it began to bleed through the wrappings. Not to mention that each bandage change cost $75 dollars. They also forgot to call me when she was ready to be picked up so our dog had to sit scared in a cage unnecessarily for 1 1/2 hours. Our new vet (Cameron Vet in Sunnyvale) put a small bandage on our dog's leg, not covering the foot at all so our dog barely notices it. They charge $28/bandage change and say we only need to come in every 4 days, compared to every 2 days at $75 and they even put a gel on her incision that will regenerate her cells more quickly so the wound will heal much more quickly. Dr. Taylor charges exorbitant prices, he is cold and should not be in the business of caring for our pets. Most of the receptionists are rude and cold as well. How

Wouldn't Know What to Expect by Raymond P. at InsiderPages
Recently I moved from an expensive, big East Coast City where we had a great vet for many years. When I needed to have work done on my dog I easily got an appt. here. The staff at the front desk were lovely. However, even though the
clinical staff had my dogs records and could see the dog had operations in the past with pins in parts of the body, when it was time for the dog to be taken to the back room, out comes this woman who doesn't say a word to me-doesn't even look me in the eyes. Middle aged and chubby. I asked her to be careful lifting the dog because the dog had pins in the legs. She didn't say a word to me. Just bent over, put the dog's charts in her mouth and lifted the dog like a sack of flour. I was horrified. Being the spouse of a doctor, I have been allowed in the back rooms of vet offices before, and I can handle them. I asked to be allowed, but no one even paid attention to me. I knew if I were with my dog, the dog would be calmer and fine. The next thing I heard after leaving the back room was my dog yelping as they stuck the catheter in her for a urine sample. That didn't need to happen. For the blood sample, a howl. My dog never howled when a needle went into her for a blood sample. These were simple workups to prepare for surgery elsewhere. Sure, they followed up when they knew the surgery was done elsewhere. Didn't they think I heard what went on while I was waiting for my dog to be screened? Unfortunately, the vet, Dr Fan, was good, as was the front desk staff. I'm using this forum to communicate my feelings to the owner of the hospital because I finally found a moment to do so.

Thank You Dr. Taylor!
Thank you for taking care of my baby, Anna. She had lumps on her back and would not eat. I had gone to many vet hospitals before and I was about to give up when I heard from my friend about Miramonte Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Taylor figured out what was wrong and perscriped a course of treatment that worked. Anna is eating well now and the lumps have disappeared leaving a shiny coat.

Competent and Caring by Joel N. at InsiderPages
Dr. Kenton Taylor has been the veterinarian for all five of my cats. He has broad competence. For example, he was able to do an echocardiogram of my cat Janer, something that is usually performed only by a specialist. And he cares very much. I remember one Easter Sunday he came in to his clinic to help me with a pet emergency! Dr. Taylor communicates important detail clearly. This is especially valuable because I can be quite stressed-out when any of my cats are not well. I have confidence that I'm making the right decision for my pet, in partnership with Dr. Taylor. And when I recommend him to friends with pets, I tell them He's the best.

Dr. Taylor is a Good Vet, but by opal n. at InsiderPages
Dr. Taylor is a good vet, but he needs to call back for followup after test results are in, surgeries are completed, etc instead of his staff who do not have much expertise. In the past his staff were not very competent, bored looking or just plain rude. People working under him needs better training and customer service skills.

Often I feel like I'm going around in aa circle dealing with his practice.
