Sounds like some bridezillas have the "princess" complex going on when it comes to Miosa. I didn't even buy my gown from them and they fixed the crappy workman ship that another store had done and charged me 1/2 the price. I just called, they booked me an appointment and in less than 1/2 an hour after I arrived, I was on my way out the door with a slip in hand with the details of what they were going to do to my dress (and there were 3 other brides there gettig their gowns from their store). They had fast service and I was very pleased with the way they treated me even though I hadn't even gotten my dress there, which I was a little worried about.
I would recommend them to every bride.

Miosa is the best bridal salon ever. They have amazing dresses that are way less than I expected. The owners are great to work with and made a lot of reccomendations to help me choose the perfect dress. I loved working with Miosa and can't wait for my wedding day but mostly can't wait for my dress.

I'd go anywhere else but here if you don't want to be stressed out before your wedding. All was well 'till I paid in full and then they could care less about fittings, final details, etc. Not worth the last-minute stress!

First and foremost to start out the consultation the person who helped me never even introduced herself to me, and completely ignored my maid of honor sister (whom I introduced - hoping to also get a name out of her). Nothing. No courtesy there what so ever. Then when I showed her my folder that contained pictures of the styles I liked - I was then told about 'how they were the typical cookie cutter styles' - and then haughtily replied that they could 'possibly' do something along those lines, but not with all the beadwork (after all, 'these dresses are made here in California, and not made in China with cheap materials, and cheap labor'). There were many other issues, one being they are not prepared for "larger" brides, yes, I am considered 'larger' by their standards ( I guess I should be happy that she didn't call me fat, but 'larger'). Another was the price. After trying on the first dress - a basic taffeta, I asked about the price. She said it was 2700. Yup - - 2700 - for a plain dress with no beading. I told her about my budget and she went to look at the books and basically came back and said the cheapest she would be able to do for any dress of 'my size' would be 1900, (a dress that wouldn't be similar to any of the style ideas I brought in) but with alterations it would be 2300. Needless to say - after having 2 men doing odd jobs around the store and having me come out to the mirror with a dress that didn't even cover a portion of my backside - the price, and the whole ambiance and dinginess of the store - - - I left after that first dress.
On one note - I realize I could have asked about how much their dress price range was at the time of making the appt - but I had no idea that the cheapest dress for a size 14 gown would be 2300 before tax (and whatever else that could be tacked onto the price after the fact). After going to another salon - and seeing how it SHOULD be, I just had to sign up and let other brides know my experience.

I just got married and purchased my dress from Miosa. I am very disturbed by the unfair reviews I see posted about them. I flew to Sacramento from New York to purchase my gown from them. Michael and Sanea were wonderful to work with. Their service was better than all of the other salons I went to. I personally experienced a "discussion" between the owners and yeah, they are married. They had different opinions about how to do the final fitting of my dress. Sanea really cares about the final product and will stick up for the client. She is only looking out for the client. I HIGHLY recommend this business. I loved my dress and felt incredibly beautiful in it. As far as price is concerned, you get a lot more for your money at Miosa than if you went to any other designer. Way better than Vera or other designers. It actually fits!
