What a fun place to go on a Wednesday, we spent about 4 hours just walking around and taking it all in....Streets of Old Milwaukee still the best ever.

To compare the Milwaukee Public Museum to the Chicago Field Museum is so off base that it does not deserve comment! For a city this size this offering is incredible!!‎

Our family had a good time, but it could use some updating. I think some things haven't changed since I was a girl. IMAX is great, and the butterfly exibit is even better!! ...

I have been to museums across the country and I must say, this is my favorite in the entire country. From the entrance, with a skeleton of a humpback whale and other animal artifacts to a phenomenal dinosaur exhibit. Additionally, there was a charming exhibit about Milwaukee's heritage called the Streets of Old Milwaukee. Also, there was an amazing recreation of the rainforest, as well as a butterfly garden. And that was just the first floor! There was an exhibit about Native Americans and other New World Civilizations and the third floor was just as good. If you are anywhere near Milwaukee, a visit to this museum is an absolute necessity!‎

The dead sea scrolls are amazing. butterflies super cool. the dead bugs not so cool. why must they be impaled.‎
