A beautiful museum in our backyard! This architecturally unique building is a must visit for both locals and tourists. The collection is marvelous, quite large and varied for a city of Milwaukees size.
There is a recently added new addition which is a must see. When they open the wings you can see the building looking like a majestic bird all the way down the main downtown area. Very impressive site.

The Milwaukee Art Museum is a stunning visual masterpiece, both inside and out. The building recently had an addition by Calatrava and it is stunning. There is often special exhibits in this area that change frequently. You will be awed by both the modern and older art.
It is truly a wonderful place to both visit and bring out of town guests.
The view of the lake is also wonderful.

The building itself is a work of art. The museum is located right next to Lake Michigan with an awesome view. The museum regularly hosts art exhibits from around the world and has themed events with their exhibits. Even you are not into art, I still would advise going just to check out the building itself.

The first time i was ever in an art museum was last week and it was in Milwaukee's. I was blown away at all of the different masterpieces. It was an unbelievable experience and i would go 100 more times.

If found this art museum to be very interesting. I visited during the steamy summer months and the temperature was perfect. The staff were friendly and were quick to assist or inform you of any information or questions you needed answered.
