Miguels is a new Mexican restaurant that has opened up in 4S Ranch in Rancho Bernardo. We are a bit lacking in restaurant choices, so the new addition is welcome. When the restaurant first opened, it was called the Zocalo Grill (it is owned by the group that owns Brigantine, Zocalos, and Miguels). But after only a couple of months they switched it to Miguels. I think Zocalos menu was a little upscale for the neighborhood. The interior of the restaurant still reflects the upscale design. It is quite beautiful with very high ceilings and a very open and airy feel. There were lots of cars in the parking lot when we went, but the restaurant was not crowded at all. The food is standard Americanized Mexican food. Very goo, but not spectacular. Prices are decent. I will definitely visit again.

I love this restaurant! The food is always fresh, hot and delicious! We ate there this past weekend and the food was better than ever. I always order from the combo plates ( taco & enchilada this time). My favorite is the cheese dip and chips. I have never had a bad dish from this place. When I crave Mexican food this place hits the spot.
