I purchased a brand new muffler 2 years and had it installed on my old Toyota Corolla at this Midas Shop in San Mateo. My old muffler was making funny rattling noises and the service guy told me that it had to be replaced so that's what I did.
1+ year later, that same muffler started making rattling noises. I took it to Meloda Toyota who told me it had to be replaced again. I could have taken it back to Midas, but considering the fact that the replacement muffler they put on looked cheap and even sounded a bit funny, I decided not to. I had Melody put on a certified Toyota muffler and have not had any problems since.
I don't ever think I will use Midas again.
