They do Not discuss price
They do not negotiate price. My wife and I test-drove a CR-V there. Once in the salesperson's office, we asked if they would match the price we'd gotten from Goodson Honda in Houston. The sales person replied "We don't do that", and shut her inventory book. She then politely indicated the visit was over, and we could leave. We did the deal with Goodson Honda over the phone for their offered price, then drove there the next Saturday and picked up our car after handing them a check and signing a few papers. Mercer does not compete on price. There is nothing wrong with that business model if it works for them. If you don't mind paying list price, the people there are very nice. The service department is nice. I sometimes buy parts at Mercer, but I have my service performed by a local independant mechanic.
