I did this surf school for two years. They have it at La Jolla Shores, which is a great beach to learn how to surf at. They provide you with boards and wetsuits. The staff is extremely nice, friendly and talented. You can sign up for a whole or half day, with a group or by yourself. Once you reach beyond a basic level, I wouldn't really recommend signing up because it's mostly younger kids.
