The behavior and business practices of Gentry and Gentria McCrea are becoming legendary and can be confirmed by googling McCrea Music Company, checking with the Better Business Bureau (858.637.6199), viewing the Video made by 10News, or calling the district attorney??????s office at 619.531.4070. At this time McCrea Music Co. is not licensed to conduct business in the city of La Mesa. Their business license expired and was closed out on December 31, 2006. They have the same regard for their city government as they do for their customers.
My story is no different than the other internet postings regarding the business practices of J. Gentry and Gentria McCrea. The story follows a well organized model of deception, lying and petty crime that has been perfected by Gentry and Gentria McCrea. If not purposeful behavior then at best the McCrea Music Company is extremely disorganized, has a cavalier disregard for good business principles and staffed with borderline personality disorders.
On learning the McCrea Music Company took used instruments on consignment I left an instrument with Gentry McCrea on February 19, 2001 and received a receipt stating the amount I would receive on its sale. I never received the money and when I enquired as to the status of the instrument I was put on the McCrea conveyer belt of stories, deception and broken promises. It started with the story from Gentry that he wasn??????t sure where the instrument was but would look for it. I checked back in and he couldn??????t find it but thought it might be in the repair shop. I checked in again and he said they would just go ahead and pay me and I should get a check in a few days. I checked later and got the story about the aging mother and how sometimes she misplaces things and so on. Each visit resulted in Gentry making a copy of my receipt to forward to Mrs. McCr
