I grew up in Thomasville, NC and my gramma would take me to Mayberrys every Saturday for a hot dog & a bowl of ice cream. Even now I STILL go to Mayberrys but NOT the one in Thomasville. New management took over this beloved landmark in Thomasville and ever since the quality of the food, service & the general upkeep of the restaurant has failed. The food is horrible! And I tell you I almost gagged BEFORE I got my food and doubted eating it and I truly only ate a few bites. The guy cooking my food looked dirty & just plain NASTY... greasy hair & NO hair net. I could not eat it for fear of a hair of that greasy mess got in my food. ICK!!!! The ranch dressing for our hot chips was CLEARLY watered down to the point it was the consistency of water. Just horrible!!!! So dissappointing to see Mayberrys in Thomasville go downhill that way. I would give it NO stars but unfortunately the worst rating I could give it is "awful" :(

This place used to be good but since they've changed ownership over the last couple of years, it has gone downhill. The restaurant itself is dirty and needs a good cleaning. The last time we ate there our waiter took our order and never came back. We sat there for at least 15-20 minutes and never could get anyone's attention to ask where our food was. Did I mention the place needs to be cleaned? I would not advise anyone to eat there.

Well my husband and I would stop here in the summer time when we would go out and ride our motorcycles, and stopped to take a break and get ice cream, but I agree they are a little expensive. ...

Miss the old day's of Mayberry. Don't order
Bean and Bacon Soup... New menu has diverted from classic Mayberry. Icecream is wonderful
food is not worth the drive.
