I have had bad eyesight my entire life so I have had a great many experiences with eye doctors. I prefer to go to an opthamologist as oppsed to an optometrist and Dr Matthews really knows his stuff. HIs staff is also very good. It was the determination of my prescription I have had in years.

I wanted to be sure I didn't hurt anything in a bicycle accident, so went to Dr. Matthews. On the initial visit he gave my eyes a good looking over, then referred me to a plastic surgeon because he was 'worried about infecion'. The plastic surgeon said I looked fine, sent me back to Matthews, who sent me away with little but a bit of peace of mind and an emptier pocket. Then on the follow up I sit for over an hour in the waiting room for him to bring me back, look at me for a grand total of about 3 minutes, then write me a prescription he said I didn't need. I'm sure he is a good eye guy, but I didn't have a good experience with him.
