Amazingly knowledgeable.
I struggled with the sudden onset of dysphagia when I was seen by a gastroenterologist in my local area. He performed an esophageal dilation, but this did not immediately solve my problem. After another endoscope and about three months of office visits and various ineffective treatments for GERD, he referred me to Dr. Massey at the Froedtert Clinic. Dr. Massey scheduled his own endoscopy. He was only about a centimeter down my esophagus and he immediately recognized my problem as eosinophilic esophagitis. A biopsy confirmed his diagnosis, but my local doctor would never have come up with that diagnosis. Unfortunately, my EE became only a side issue as I have developed a separate, but related neurological disorder. I have continued to work with Dr. Massey for over five years now and he has been instrumental in treating my EE and keeping my life as normal as it can possibly be. He works closely with the doctor I work with for pain management.
