Try to get a better hair cut at supercuts...‎
or any other barber. Chris only does appointments, which I like. I was surprised at the price $16!! He is upping the price for 2009 to $18 but well worth it. Spends the whole half hour cutting your hair and making sure every hair is in place. Finishes up with the straight edge, gotta love it. Chris will be my barber for the foreseeable future!‎

Best Haircut, Best Price and GREAT GUY
I've been going to Chris now for almost 8 years now. I come from a family of hair stylist (my dad, several uncles, etc were barbers, cousins own nice hairsalons etc) and i can tell you Chris is a VERY good barber. He is skilled in clippers, scissors and razors (ie he can even give a shave witha straight razor). He learned the trade correctly, not like the "in and out" places. He listens to what YOU want and works to achieve it. He also remembers what you did so he can do it again or modify your next visit until you have the style you want. He cares and will take the time. I have had at least 4 hair styles (long, short, modern etc) and Chris worked with me on all of them. Btw, cuts are only $16 but I give him a $5 tip everytime. Also, and this is important to me is he has become my "Barber", ie..he knows me, we talk candidly about life, women, sports, the good and the bad. We have become great friends over the years and I know he would do anything for me and vs versa. I know many of his clients feel the same and do amazing things for Chris. He can come off as hard a bit the first time, but give him a chance and you will have a barber and friend for life. i dont live in the city anymore but cross the bay bridge every 2 weeks like clockwork to see Chris, he is worth it and I can wait for my next haircut.

An "Old-School" Barber for the New Millenium!
I was so frusturated with "pseudo-yuppie salons" that want $35 and up for a haircut, and franchise-type places that seem to always give me a half-cockeyed haircut in 7 minutes or less and then rush me out the door! When my friend, who has been going to Chris for over 20 years recommended him, I found that the Marina Inn Barber Shop was exactly what I was looking for. Chris is a no-nonsense, old school barber who is skilled with scissors, clippers and a straight razor. He'll take the time (usually a 1/2 hour, at least) to let you know that YOUR haircut is important, and get it right, every time. Very reasonable at $16 (but I always give him $25-$30 because he deserves it). He may come off as a little moody or grouchy sometimes, but he's just genuine and "real", which is far better than most of the phoney, plastic, genuinely-unfriendly and arrogant types that have seemed to take over the Marina as of lately. And speaking of plastic, he doesn't take it so you won't see his shop on the next commercial for Visa, and you'll need to carry cash. Do people still use real money in the Yuppie Wonderland, aka, the Marina District?

Pros: Consistent, "what-you-see-is-what-you-get", no-nonsense approach to haircuts
Cons: None. I live 2 blocks away so the lack of parking doesn't matter to me.

GREAT BARBER IN THE MARINA
I've been getting my hair cut by this guy for the past 25 years. If you're looking for a real barber this is the place to go. He does not take credit cards but if you can't carry the $16 you shouldn't be leaving the house.
If you're not looking for an old time barber then stick to the beauty salons like a sissy.

A good hair cut at a great price
This is one of those no nonsense barber shops you remember as a kid. Chris is a little moody, very direct, but gives a very good haircut. He is not fast. He takes his time and give you the attention you need. And his prices are low - around the SuperCuts level.
