I like the bar, but management has little control over door staff (poor training/low IQ). I also have experienced the lets check your ID at the door treatment, once after being there 10 minutes. I have worked several bars so I know the game, I refused and requested the manager. The door guy immediately got physical. I'm not a small guy, so i was able to "pursuade" him to remove his hands, after a conversation with the manage i was allowed to stay, but it soured me on Maloney's. I now spend my money and time with my wife and tip rediculously well elsewhere (thank your idiot door staff). Try Anodine for good music and a laidback atmosphere. P.S. bring your well behaved dog they're welcome!

They will walk up to random dudes and take them outside to check ID. Then tell them they are too drunk to be in there. Must be a way to clear the place out to let in girls. I'm all for more girls, but not cool when it happens to your friends who are standing still in a conversation. Pretty lame. Never going back.

My friends and I have given this bar several chances and I can honestly say out of 10 times only once has been great. (Call us glutans for punishment? =P ) All the other times have been absolutely awful, the wait staff just does not care or they are just plain lazy. The crowd at night mixes well which makes it slightly less horrific but the staff really make up for that by being rude and incompetant.
This last Saturday was the clincher when our "server" would take 15 minutes to just take our order then never bring the drinks out. This was during a lazy afternoon where he MAYBE had 3 tables other than ours. We would finally give up and go directly to the bar where lo and behold our drinks would be sitting, waiting, getting watered down in the process. Needless to say, but I will anyway, we finished our drinks and went to another bar close by and got STELLAR service. Seems like Maloney's has a predjudice against younger people during the day because all the fogeys were getting fine service, which is sad, being servers ourselves, we understand what good service is and how people deserve to be treated. Maybe that is just common sense. Maybe not, if Maloney's has anything to do with that. Maybe someday they will be taught a lesson when someone reports discrimination. Who knows?

This bar is a disgrace. Absolutely horrible staff. Bouncers and bartenders are punks. Music is sub par at best. Nothing special about this bar what so ever. I was kicked out of this bar for "being to drunk" when i hadn't had a sip of alcohol because I was going through a liver problem and couldnt drink for months. When i questioned the bouncer he told me he would have be arrested if i didnt leave. I would not recommend this bar and would encourage you to tell your friends the same. A complete travesty of a place.
