This place has the WORST customer service in town!! I took a belt to have it shortened several weeks ago upon recommendation from a friend. The belt ended up being too short. I held on to the belt for several weeks and brought it back to Maida to have it fixed. Since then, I brought several pairs of shoes for repair and cleaning to the shop. When I brought the belt back to the shop, I was told that Maida never worked on the belt and that I was flat out lying. I insisted that I had taken the belt to their shop and even offered to show them proof of payment but they insisted I was lying and that it was probably for another belt. They kept on asking me " waht my deal was...", in front of another customer. I will never go back to this place. They were very disrespectful and simply humiliating.

I have been going to Maidas to get my shoes fixed for years(since they were down on lower Westheimer in Highland Village). I have to say the service at Chimney Rock and Westheimer is some of the worst I have recieved at a buisness in a long time. The first time I took in a pair of shoes that broke AS SOON AS I WORE them...called them to let them know and thought they said it was no problem to fix it again, when I took the shoes back they acted like I was lying about it. When I said fine and I would not come back. They fixed the shoes (that broke again as soon as wore them). Did not learn my lesson and took another pair of shoes in to be fixed. they do not take both of the shoes...I have moved since then and have alot of stuff in storage, so I don't have my other shoe. My problem is that this buisness is NOT customer oriented.. They have made me wrong twice now. I will NOT EVER give this place my buisness again. I am a successful hairdresser in the Galleria area for the last 15 years. I work hard for my money and I refuse to take my buisness to a place that acts like I'm wrong. The Houston Shoe Hospital on Sheperd DOES take both shoes and are pleasant and act like they are glad to have me as a customer.So if you like freindly, customer oriented places to spend your money... DONT TAKE YOUR SHOES TO GET FIXED AT MAIDAS!!!!
