The manicuring class has no instructor; they put the Cosmo and the Mani together when they start for the first 4 weeks I believe. Then they put you down on the floor where you will start taking clients and making money for them. The Cosmo instructor will check up on you know and then.

Be very careful if you get on the wrong side of the staff (Debbie Johnson) if they are not out side taking a smoke break every hour. They watch the students to deducted hours from them if they see you talking to a classmate. If you walk quietly through the hallways or stand by Debbie office you make hear students being referred to as Bi*hs, or C*nts.

The makeup they use on a daily basis is not Mac makeup. It is dried up and so old the students are embarrassed and use their own makeup for clients. (Mac makeup is only for the Makeup Artist class).

The owner is a very nice man does not know what is going on have the time. They have a big turnover in staff. If Debbie doesn??????t like you even if you are doing your job. She will stop talking to you until she gets you fired. Debbie, Caren, and Marilyn keep everything from him. My friend is attending. She can??????t stand it. Really think about it attending if you want to be in a hostile environment. Good luck.

Being enrolled as a student of Cosmetology at Lu Ross Academy was a very positive experience. The curriculum, aside from being interesting, was well organized and the staff was extremely efficient and competent. As a result, it promoted an environment that was conducive to learning for all students. Everything from preparing for the State Board to ultimately finding a job could be attributed to their excellent instruction. I love Lu Ross because I can get my legs waxed for $15 dollars. This is a super deal. However, you have to be willing to be worked on by students. And since they are students sometimes the appointment takes a little longer. But for the most part all the students I've had work on me have been really nice and sometimes they do a better job than at a salon.
