Servicing the customer by Peter W. at InsiderPages
One thing that never fails to amaze me is how much of a masochist I am. I came to the service department of Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet on the suggestion of a friend. I guess he must have some special way with people to get his car worked on in a timely fashion.

The last time I took my car in it was to change oil, transmission and differential fluid (manual rwd car). I got the car back and everything was good, until a week later a burning smell became overpowering. I took the car back to have them check it out, and fluid was all over the differential. They told me it was a seal leaking and to repair it they'd need to take apart the differential and re-seal it, which is a very costly job. I didn't have the money so I figured i'd wait until I did. Later when I got under the car and inspected it myself I found out the filler bolt for the diff was loose - so loose I could unscrew it with my finger. One bottle of differential fluid and a stinking garage later and I had repaired what they (the mechanics) failed to.

Just now i've taken my car back in for an oil change and tire rotation, and simply asked if someone could look into a strange noise I heard when starting the car. I made sure to mention about the previous fix and to please have the mechanics double-check all fasteners and bolts. 3 days later, I continue to call and call and I am told someone is looking at the car, they will call me back. I have yet to get a call back once in 3 days.

The service people must have been in sales before from the way they talk to you. Why would I want to pay $400 for a maintenance I don't need when I came in for an oil change? Lets see, $40 oil change, $400 maintenance... I think i'll just put that money into my bloating credit card bill thanks.

If you love painful experiences and difficult staff, come on down to Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet.

Great, friendly service! by Connie S. at InsiderPages
We took our '04 1-ton pick-up in for a clunking noise when turning into/out of parking spaces. Whatever it was, they fixed it at no charge & were completely thorough in keeping us updated on soon to be needed preventative maintenance. No pressure to do anything at their dealership at that exact time. Their free shuttle service to a local shopping mall was also appreciated. Thank you Jeremy Meyer, Service Advisor for giving us the usual good & friendly service we've come to expect & appreciate from Chevy Dealer's in various locations across the US.

Collision repair not that great. by Weuton M. at InsiderPages
I was rear-ended about a year ago and took my car to the Lou Bachrodt collision center for a repair of my rear bumper. It was quite pricy for such a small fix, and the quality of the paint job I received wasn't on-par with the original. They also made an estimate for another collision I had about six months ago, and it was close to double the price I got from two other companies.

Never been in contact with their sales department, so I have no comment to make there.
