My boyfriend and I moved to this area from Studio City. Since moving, we haven't been able to find a decent Chinese restaurant in the area. After trying six different Chinese restaurants in the area, we thought we'd give The Lotus Inn a try with little expectation but I'm so glad they proved us wrong! The Steamed Chicken Dumplings were so good and full of flavor; they weren't too "doughy" either. The Egg Drop Soup was great! We didn't have to salt it or pour soy sauce in it to get some flavor. The BBQ Pork Fried Rice was excellent and so was the Moo Goo Gai Pan! We're shocked! We had the food delivered and they came right on time and the portions were huge for half orders! Their prices are just as competitive as any other place in the neighborhood too; not cheap but not expensive. This is our new GO TO for Chinese food in Woodland Hills! When I first walked in I noticed that the restaurant had an upscale feel to it. The booths, tables, chairs, and carpeting looked new. The bar was shining clean. I went on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to see they still were offering lunch specials. I ordered the chicken with pea pods and steamed rice. It came with an eggroll and soup, but not won ton, even when I offered to pay extra for won ton soup, the waiter said no. The food arrived steaming hot and very fresh. It tasted delicious and had plenty of sauce. The egg roll was okay, a little dry and crunchy, some hot mustard probably would have helped. The portion was really big and the price was reasonable. I would definitely eat here again.

Lotus is a great chinese restaurant. Unlike most chinese restaurants, this restaurant has a very upscale feel to it, without the high price. The food is delicious and the service is great. Great place to sit and have lunch or dinner with a date, friends or family. Its definitely my favorite chinese restaurant.
