BEWARE OF STAFF
What we thought was going to be a pretty routine procedure endes in total frustration. We were pre-admitted to the hospital a few days before a procedure and told our estimated charges would be a few thousand dollars. After the procedure we discovered they were not "in-network" and we owed $28,000! The person that did the pre-admittance paperwork at no time said they were out of network AND quoted us a few thousand dollars (our deductable)! Now they are coming after us for the entire payment? See you in court Los Robles!

LOS ROBLES Hospital - STAY AWAY!!!
-The long ER wait time (5+ hrs).
LOS ROBLES Hospital - STAY AWAY!!!
-The lack of physicians (ONE ER physician for 20 patients).
-They lie: promised to send lab test results; Called about a month later, was told that I now needed to submit authorization form, and they'll bill me. Fine. Two weeks later I received a bill for about $9. Fine. One problem: the bill stated it was an ESTIMATE, and they wanted a credit card# to proceed. NOT FINE.

Service at Los Robles stinks. I want to see this place shut down by end of 2009. If you are interested in filing the complaint/s with me, email: LosRoblesClassAction@yahoo. com
-This may not result in a class action, but I want all agencies to check this place out.

Take a look at all the previous complaints this place received. I wish I'd known before going.

chest pain in the ER gets treated like a runny nose
I had the worst experience at Los Robles in their ER. I had chest pain and shortness of breath with an elevated blood pressure. I was told to return back out to the waiting room without being given anything for my blood pressure. I had waited several hours and then after a chest x ray and blood draws I had waited several more. I was eventually discharged after no diagnostic studies of my heart and had open heart surgery at another hospital because I refused to go back after my chest pain had persisted days later. I felt like they had treated me like a I had a runny nose.

What takes so long in the ER?
Going to the ER usually means a long wait. But 7+ hours? Not only is the wait terrible but the staff is borderline cruel. They are not sympathetic at all and when you try to ask them questions they don't hide the annoyance in their face. They spent all this money upgrading the hospital when they should have spent their money on their employees. Clearly they are lacking in staff and training. Everyone is waiting, from the people in the waiting room to the people who are blessed enough to be taken to a room. So the question is - what are all the doctors and nurses doing that they can't get us in and out in a timely manner? I've been to Simi Valley ER a number of times and never experienced this level of unprofessionalism.
