I am a fellow mental health professional who has worked in the clinical and forensic psychology field and know Dr. LIberman's work well. He has always been highly professional and ethical in his work. He has a very good reputation as a therapist and as an evaluator. Dr. Liberman is in good standing with all the professional associations, boards and Superior Courts in several counties. In all, Dr. Liberman is highly respected by his peers for his 30+ years as a clinical and forensic psychologist.

Dr. Alan Liberman did an outstanding custody evaluation in order to determine the best situation for my children. He was an unbiaised evaluator who examined many different sources before making his custody recommendations. I thoroughly researched Dr. Liberman's credentials before going to his office. He is highly regarded by his colleagues, is recommended by the Orange County court system, and has been practicing for many years. Dr. Liberman proved to be a warm and caring professional whose ultimate concern was the welfare of my children.

I read some of the negative comments on this and other sites with interest and discussed them with my attorney.. He told me that Liberman has an impeccable reputation with the Courts in LA and OC and these negative comments are probably posted by some people that didn't fair well in their court evaluations and placed these remarks in retaliation. Dr. Alan Liberman was recommended to me by several people, and I was very impressed with him. He listened to all sides, was always very professional, and really seemed to care about the children's welfare. He did a thorough evaluation of everyone involved and made clear, appropriate recommendations based upon information that he had gathered from many different sources. I would highly recommend him. I would caution you not to believe the negative comments included in some of the reviews. My ex-husband may very well have been one of them, as he was angry he was not awarded as much custody as he had hoped, so it wouldn't surprise me if he would make up lies to take his anger out on Dr. Liberman rather than taking responsibility for his own problems; the real reason for his limited visitation. Dr. Liberman's behavior was always completely professional and appropriate with me and with everyone else he had contact with during the evaluation.

I just love this guy. Even though I asked for shared custody, he recommended full custody. All I had to do is just play little tricks that his ex-customer and my friend told me beforehand.
I specifically asked the court to appoint Dr. Liberman as a 730 evaluator for child custody evaluation. Not knowing Dr. Liberman’s past or my plans, my ex agreed to it. As I wasn’t working, court order my ex to pay for the evaluation. Before going there, all I wanted is shared custody with my ex. I was told that Dr. Liberman likes to favor beautiful woman and he likes to see the breasts. As the evaluation process started, I purposely wore sultry and less clothes. I observed that he kept staring at my breasts. At one point, he asked, “Why don’t I ask for full custody?” I told him, I don’t mind if he recommends it. During the entire evaluation, he insisted that I sit close to him (so that he can hear me well).
He also invited me over dinner that I accepted. I don’t know why but by that time, I was sure that he is going to favor me for full custody. During the dinner
He stretched the whole process for almost a year and kept seeing me in his office and outside. He kept telling me that I should keep in touch with him even after the completion of the evaluation.
When the report came out, he recommended primary physical and legal custody to me. My ex is now screwed and pays hefty child support. I personally hate this guy however; if you are a woman then go for him. Don’t forget the little tricks.
