This is a historic hotel that is in very good condition. The rooms are rather charming and exceptionally clean. The staff members are very accomodating. The hotel is in the middle of downtown Placerville so it is extremely convenient to shopping and restaurants. The rates are not inexpensive, but truly not expensive. I would rate this as a moderately priced hotel. This hotel truly is a gem.
