Unpleasant- Save your money! by dawn d. at InsiderPages
I was interested in this hospital because they supposedly have a specialist who deals with animal behavioral problems(have a dog that could use it a bit), so when my cat got sick I decided to take him to this hospital to check it out and see what their service was like. The vet (Dr. Seamans) was very nice and explained things well, however in the end everyone that talked to us seemed to pressure us into buying extra items and medicines that was said may or may not help my cat and when I tried to pass on the extras and just get the required medicines and items, suddenly I was told I should get the other items anyways just in case, so in the end I said ok (my mistake). I got a regular exam (required for new patients), urinalysis, blood test, a tiny bottle (about the size of your thumb) of medicine and a small bag of fluid with a syringe that I had to administer myself at home. My total came out to well OVER $600! Theres a sign on the counters in plain view saying that you have to pay for everything when you get the bill before you leave the hospital(they give you an estimate before they do anything to your pet though) so we paid the total (in FULL since its required) and left. Well, none of the insanely priced medicine helped my cat and seemed to make him even more sick. My fiance and I made sure to follow the directions every step (which were very simple anyways). My cat even started to lose large patches of fur and after 2 weeks he didnt even want to move anymore (which he was still running around before we took him to this hospital). In the end we had no choice, but to put him to sleep...(which we did at another hospital since the fee to put an animal down at this hospital was unreasonable as well). 2 more weeks later and we start getting harrassed through the mail saying we owe this hospital money! (around $50) Even though its REQUIRED to pay all fees in full at
