I went here twice when I was visiting my cousin once for a facial and the other time for waxing. The employees are very professional and they did very good, yet I feel like I would've enjoyed my experience more if the place was not so busy rather than relaxing. But still recommend, they do very good.

I'm new to the Reno area, so perhaps I'm not used to the proximity to Cali and consequent high prices, but $130 for a cut and color (no style) is not what I call reasonable. The stylist did everything I asked her NOT to do. When I asked for the cut to be adjusted efter being shown the final product in the mirror, I was given a few more snips, and that was it. The stylist was not friendly, nor conversant in any way. The color was also not the shade I requested, or was not left in long enough. Will not return.

I have been a repeat customer at this salon for many years and for good reason: The results are incredible. Their hairstylists are amazing and always updating and can cater to any style, unlike some salons in Reno which focus only on certain looks. The manicures and pedicures and equally amazing and I've been all over Reno trying out different massages, facials mani's and pedi's and L'Essence is still the best place I have ever found for a reasonable price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!
