Le Papagayo is quaint with adequate outside & inside seating. The atmosphere's quality increases with the murmur of patrons and when the live music begins. Le Papagayo also has an awesome happy hour, where you can try their tasty dishes at reasonable prices. I love their Truffle Fries and I think they have the best Sangria in North County!

Had dinner there last night on Valentines. Always good.

Let it be known that Le Papagayo has the best mini potato cakes in San Diego. I can't get enough of them.

I'd been in twice before for happy hour with friends and did enjoy it but this last weekend made me a loyal customer!

I took the waitresses advice and had coconut curry scallops. As this was my first time here for a full dinner, I wanted to try something unique to the place. It did not disappoint! The chef sure knows what they're doing! The flavors were wonderful with the white wine also chosen by my server.

My date had the lamb chop and I'll have to take his word that it was just as great as my scallops. Le Papagayo has just added an organic and grass fed menu that the lamb chop was on. I'm so happy that they have added this! I wish more restaurants offered organic foods.

The music began just as we left and the place started to get busy. I wish we could have stayed for dessert, but we had a movie to catch! Next time I'll be sure to reserve more time for the music! Be sure to visit their website for the live music schedule!

This place has always been a favorite but now with Chef James Montejano (formerly of Pamplemousse Grill & Cafe Jepengo) behind the scenes it is even more so. Their new menu with a focus on organic and conscientiously sourced ingredients is absolutely amazing. The Coquilles St. James appetizer was mouth-wateringly delicious and the Spiced Rub Lamb Chops were probably the best I've ever had. For dessert don't miss the Taste of Creme Brulee you will be pleasantly surprised by the lavender, citron & espresso flavored mini creme brulees. This is serious gourmet food without the pretentious atmosphere. I highly recommend it.‎
