Richard Poland is the worst attorney I ever came across. I am so happy I found a site where I can review this attorney. My husband was charged with having alot of marijuana in his vehicle. This is my husband's first offense. Richard Poland told my husband that his fee would be $15,000 for his services $4,000 to get probation. My husband paid the money. Poland told my husband to fight it in court. My husband wanted to take the plea bargain for 2 years. He would do half the time. Poland said trust me pay the $4,000 I'll give you probation. Poland said he needs another $6,000 and he could get my husband dismissed from the charges. I'm crying as I'm writting this review. Poland said it's better if we just take this to trial. We told Poland I thought my husband would get Probation he said that's not an option right now. Poland asked for an additional $5,000 to take it to trial.The trial is over and my husband got sentenced to 5 years. Poland said he would do our appeal in 1 week. A month went by me calling his office and getting the run around. I had to hurry and contact the California Appelate Project and get my husband's appeal into the system. Richard left me broke, and my husband should of took the 1st plea bargain that was given to him 2 years. Poland is a snake and he did not care what happened to my husband. All he cared about is the money he took from us. I will never trust any attorney not ever. Thank you Richard for destroying our lives. Don't do business with Poland he will lie just to get money out of you!

The worst attorney that money can buy. Any reviews that you read that are positive are probaly reviews that Poland wrote about himself. He ripped off my husband 0ver $30,000. My husband was sentenced to 15 years. I should of read the other bad reviews I read about him before me and my husband hired this guy. Poland needs to work behind the desk and answer phones. Leave the cases for real attorneys. Stay away from this con artist.
