i retract my review i made in 2007. since then it has chacged. review i said i brought my mom from ny here. Please if your loved one needs care DON"T go here. I will not go further. with my review cause it ge very very very dirty

TERRIBLE PLACE! From a Former Resident
I wouldn't allow an injured animal to live at Laurel Canyon Retirement!! Roaches, no activities, depressing interior, staff are nightmarish and non caring, food is nearly inedible, and the owner is non responsive to requests for assistance or guidance. I would NOT recommend allowing any human to reside in this facility!

A transplanted N.Y.er. Out here 30yrs. Well needed to assisted care for my mom. So i moved her out here to a wonderful place. We love it . She meets lot of fun people and great activities all the time.The staff is full of life and gets involved with the peoples days and see hoe thing are going with them. My mom loves it and feels she has a little home to live in with fun people. The best thing for her here is the retirement is Sandra.She is the retirement counseler and he sister Pamwho is the activities directer. They are fanantastic.So I am here tosay this place ROCKS!
